Create the research brief and credibility rules

Create an Airtable base before editing the survey data. Add tables for report brief, survey questions, response cleanup, analysis cuts, chart register, claims register, source notes, design status, and launch assets. In the report brief, define the audience, benchmark question, comparison frame, primary CTA, minimum usable response count, must-have segments, and claims that need legal or executive review. Add status fields such as raw, cleaned, analyzed, draft, reviewed, approved, and published so every asset has an owner and stage. The QA check is simple: if the report cannot explain who was surveyed, how the data was cleaned, and which decisions the reader can make, do not move into analysis yet.
A benchmark report workspace with brief, data-control tables, owners, statuses, and credibility rules.
A good benchmark report starts as an evidence system, not as a PDF outline. The Airtable setup prevents the team from losing track of where each claim came from.
